My name is Hank Peters, and I am running for Yellowstone County Treasurer, Assessor, & Superintendent of Schools because I believe Yellowstone County needs a Treasurer with comprehensive knowledge of the property tax system.
- I’m a fourth generation Montanan and the only candidate with years of property tax billing experience.
- I will continue to search for ways to provide more transparency. I have led efforts that have increased the amount of information available to taxpayers on the tax statements and the county website.
- Wherever possible, I will continue to use technology to increase the quality of service and efficiency of our offices. I have introduced new balancing processes for property taxes and motor vehicle that have decreased errors and increased productivity.
- Education shapes the future. I will provide maximum assistance to administrators, teachers, parents, and students so that our children can have the opportunity to fulfill their potential.
